Why Saying "I Want To" Is Effecting Your Ability To Progress

Everyday you hear people say "I want to" and once you say this, it becomes just a thought in your head and not something that your mind predominantly thinks about. It lacks the attention and focus to create the path that you will design in order to achieve that certain plan or goal. Throughout your day, questions are always being asked. The way you answer it is usually the more focus you put on to it. What I mean by this is, when you say "I want to", you are moving this further into the future. There is no structure around it; there's also no real established date and time. In the current moment, it might feel like its a good thought or idea that you are focusing on and maybe even preaching it to your peers. But what you are really doing is allowing yourself to feel temporary self-gratification. Once you are done talking about the certain topic, your mind will divert to something else. This creates constant let downs and leaves you frustrated and dissatisfied. The constant use of "I want to" will leave you running in circles, year by year and day by day. People will ask you, "why don't you do this", or state that "we should do this", and if your constantly replying with "I want to", you will never progress or do what you say. The lack of focus leaves you with the lack of progress. If you've always wanted to go on vacation, start your own business, buy a house, save money, don't say I want to. I'm sure you understand where I'm going with this. The more you say "I want to", the more you wont believe in yourself and the lack of belief others will see in you.

Why should you say "I'm going to"? It makes it certain, it makes it an objective and, it allows you to create goals and dates. The use of "I'm going to" will have you in the constant creation process to make it happen. For example, "Yeah, I'm going to go on vacation December 8th. I'm going to have such a great time there with my family". When you hear yourself say this it becomes practical. It becomes something real. You will feel the difference in your confidence level once you say it. People will believe in you more and you will become unquestionable. Your mind, day by day, will find a way to sculpt it and make it a reality for you. Your constant thoughts create the belief level you create of yourself. With a high belief level, you are willing to take action to accomplish more in your life. Actually think about it. Every time that you've said "I want to", how much focus did you really put on it? Starting today, don't question yourself. If you want something, say it and don't doubt yourself. The only way to get exactly what you want is if you have a plan, high belief level, and unbelievable work ethic to get it. Nothing comes easy. If you change, everything else will change around you.

I found this article very helpful that how someone's ability of thinking to do something (I want to) make them to do it. Not only they succeed but it makes their mind running constantly to think more.
Really nice article good job! 👏🏼
